The 61st Home Fair, the largest construction fair in Slovenia and neighbouring regions, will be held from 22 to 26 March 2023 at the Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre under the slogan Build Your Own Story. Here, visitors can find everything for building and renovation.
A wide range of services and products, systemic solutions and advanced technologies for the home, construction and energy efficient builders’ joinery, heating and cooling technology, interior design, security and landscaping are presented at the fair by more than 355 companies from 27 countries.
This year, too, the exhibitors present the latest innovations and trends. Visitors can take advantage of the fair’s special deals, compare products and services, and consult experts. The expert advisory programme of this year’s Home Fair offers interesting contents on the quality of construction and the decarbonisation of buildings for professionals and builders.
For anyone building or renovating an apartment or house, as well as for those who are just gathering information or are merely interested in new developments, free and independent information, advice and lectures from the ZRMK Building and Civil Engineering experts and external experts, the ENSVET – Eco Fund energy consultants, and free 3D bathroom visualisations are available.
ACCOMPANYING PROGRAMME OF THE ZRMK BUILDING AND CIVIL ENGINEERING INSTITUTE
Throughout the duration of the fair, the ZRMK Building and Civil Engineering Institute consultants, who cover the professional and engineering fields, are available to visitors for free advice. Independent experts advise and deliver lectures in the areas ranging from administrative permitting procedures, advice from architects, static engineers and other experts on a comprehensive energy renovation of buildings, sustainable heating, cooling and ventilation, construction or refurbishment of traditional, listed or prefabricated buildings, passive and nearly zero energy building standards to static assessment, earthquake safety and learning about novelties.
Consultations will also focus on the new Building Act and the Spatial Planning Act, which entered into force on 1 June 2022.
ACCOMPANYING PROGRAMME OF THE ENSVET – ECO FUND ENERGY CONSULTANTS
In the lobby of the Marble Hall, the ENSVET Network’s energy consultants offer free, independent and individualised energy advice and conduct educational and awareness-raising activities to promote energy efficiency measures and renewable energy sources.
Energy consultants, as independent experts, provide free assistance in decisions regarding energy investments and gaining grants from the Eco Fund. They assist in the selection, planning and realisation of energy efficiency investments.
FREE 3D VISUALISATIONS WITH MERKUR CONSULTANTS
The Merkur exhibition premises offer free 3D bathroom visualisations, consulting and planning of a new or renovated home, energy efficient solutions (one-stop-shop consulting and solutions), flawless façade execution, paving, installation of air conditioning systems, installation of builders’ joinery, painting and many other works.
It is recommended that visitors of the fair prepare for a meeting with consultants. They should bring the appropriate documentation with them. Together with a consultant, they will shed light on problems from both the theoretical as well as practical side.
QUALITY LABEL IN CONSTRUCTION
The national environmental label or environmental certification Quality Label in Construction has been awarded already since 1997 and is the highest environmental recognition in the field of construction in Slovenia. It is conferred only to the top 10 per cent of products or services in its field.
This year’s recipients are:
Modern installation of SATLER Outdoor Builders’ Joinery
One of the activities of SATLER Windows and Doors is also the installation of outdoor builders’ joinery of its own production. Customers are offered PVC, wooden and aluminium windows, and doors, blinds, sills and mosquito nets. All their products have appropriate quality certificates, declarations of performance and CE markings, which also applies to other materials used in the installation, e. g. fastenings and sealants. They have been installed in line with good construction practice or state of the art (better known as “RAL installation”) for many years. When installing, they employ internal modern installation guidelines, which follow state-of-the art principles. They use quality materials and modern tools, and respect the rules of the profession.
ROTERRA DRIVE Drive-On Tank
The ROTO ECO Company was awarded the environmental certification Quality Label in Construction for the development of a polyethylene tank called ROTERRRA DRIVE, which is a novelty on the global market. The tank is suitable for installation under drive-on surfaces and does not require additional concrete slabs. The development of the award-winning tank followed the direction of multifunctional and structural solutions, which also allows the maximum possible use of the available transport volume and the possibility of installation under drive-on surfaces, thereby expanding the areas of installation. The basic raw material for production is polyethylene (PE), which is 100% recyclable at the end of its useful life, since a composite from primary and secondary raw material has also been developed.
